The Gift in the Obstacle

No matter who you are or what you do in life, I’m sure you’ve had the experience of running up against blocks, obstacles, or challenges that seem intent on keeping you from achieving your goals. When it happens, it can be very frustrating, especially if you happen to be attached to a particular outcome or fairly close to your final objective. This has certainly been true many times in my life.

But no matter what kinds of challenges you may face, I’m pretty sure you’ve also had the experience of discovering an unexpected gift in something that appeared at first to be an obstacle. And often the gift is more valuable than whatever was on the other side of the obstacle. And that’s precisely what I talk about in this month’s video—check it out:

The lesson to be learned here is that every obstacle you encounter is nothing but a challenge from the Universe daring you to prove that you are truly committed to be the person you are meant to be, doing what you are meant to be doing. Amazingly, the more committed you are to this objective, the less obstacles you tend to encounter.

The Universe knows when you are serious about your commitment to your own growth and self-expression, and it only throws up obstacles when your resolve is in question. You see, the Universe is just reminding you, in its own inimitable way, that you have a purpose, and you can only do things your way. Awesome, isn’t it?
